Where do you get Holy Sword Endu?
Do you need Endu equipped to air dash?
What is Soul Bound Endu?
How many Wind Gems does Endu hold?
Holy Sword Endu is Queen’s Domain’s signature traversal tool: a Slash melee weapon whose secondary attack launches you through the air. Steam marketing copy literally sells “take flight from platform to platform.” This page covers where Endu comes from, how Wind Gems and leveling interact, and when to prioritize combat upgrades versus movement.
Where Do You Get Holy Sword Endu?
Progress the Isle of Neasied Crypt Key route until you unlock the Endu Shrine gate and defeat the Shrine Guardian—the oversized skeleton boss guarding the inner sanctum (boss guide).
After the fight:
- Interact with the fallen guardian for story loot (Stone Duck Figurine, which unlocks shop access at monuments).
- Proceed to the shrine treasure and pick up Holy Sword Endu.
- Equip Endu in place of the Rusted Short Sword; a new Wind Dash diamond row appears under your Power Meter on the HUD.
The Flying Sword achievement triggers when you collect Endu. If the gate is still locked, you have not finished the Crypt Key and shrine approach in the Isle of Neasied walkthrough.

What Are Endu’s Base Stats and Damage Type?
Launch-week weapon tables list starting Holy Sword Endu at 10 Power, Slash damage, and Average attack speed. The sword ships with one Wind Gem already socketed, with room for four more gems and a separate Storm Gem slot in the item description.
Endu is not a universal combat answer—enemies resistant to Slash still punish lazy swapping. Keep Pierce and Impact weapons in your other two melee slots as described in the weapon tier list.
How Does Wind Dash Work?
Activation: Secondary attack (right-click on PC) while aiming at a gap thrusts you along that vector—a powerful dash usable on the ground or in mid-air.
Stamina tie-in: Wind Dash spends Power Meter like any heavy action. Empty stamina means weak melee and risky dashes—see the beginner guide.
Unequipped benefit: You may keep another weapon active for resistances while retaining dash access once Endu is acquired.
HUD: Each installed Wind Gem adds one diamond to the Wind Dash row; spent charges recharge over time.

How Do Wind Gems Expand Your Reach?
Each Wind Gem inserted into Endu grants one additional consecutive dash. Three early milestones are well documented:
| Wind Gems installed | Reported traversal use |
|---|---|
| 1 (default) | Short gaps and elevated paths right after the shrine. |
| 2 | Double dash across the broken western bridge toward Obmuer Temple (second gem on a pedestal near the upper Crystal Monument route). |
| 3 | Triple dash clears the large interior pit inside Obmuer Temple after you open the door with four Triangular Slates. |
Gems four and five exist for later exploration and the Feel the Wind achievement; you do not need all five before entering the Tower of Knowledge. Track confirmed landmarks on the Wind Gems item page.
How Do You Level Endu and Evolve Soul Bound Endu?
Launch weapon guides agree on the same progression rules for most melee gear:
- Successful hits with the equipped weapon grant weapon XP.
- Each level adds +3% damage, capped at +30%.
- At level 10, eligible weapons evolve into new forms.
For Endu specifically:
- Holy Sword Endu → Soul Bound Endu at level 10.
- Evolved stats: 13 Power, Average speed, Slash.
- Soul Bound attacks gain a holy energy arc on strong swings—extra reach beyond vanilla slashes.
- Evolution resets the displayed weapon level to 1 on the new form while keeping Wind Gem sockets.
Use Endu against Slash-weak enemies to level it without tanking resistances; swap to other weapons when the bestiary says otherwise.

What Does the Storm Gem Add?
The Storm Gem is a separate pickup in the upper Tower of Knowledge, after the numbered gargoyle puzzle. Installing it unlocks Raging Tempest, a charge-based storm attack with its own HUD meter—not an extra Wind Dash.
Do not confuse Storm Gem progress with missing Wind Gems: a fourth dash requires another Wind Gem, not the storm upgrade. Full tower routing lives in the Tower of Knowledge walkthrough and Storm Gem page.
Practical Tips for Using Endu
- Save before sketchy jumps. Manual saves at Crystal Monuments beat repeating long climbs after a mis-timed dash.
- Carry a Travel Crystal Fragment from Neasied’s tilted tower for one-click returns to your last monument if you overextend.
- Plan dash routes from high ground. Climb rocks near the second monument before attempting the second-gem platform.
- Keep shop weapons upgraded separately. Umbada sells Pierce and Impact options while Endu handles mobility.
- Do not neglect block stamina. Even with dashes, Power Meter discipline from the beginner guide still governs damage after you land.
Endu also ties into late lore about the True Holy Sword Akunra (item flavor text and a separate forging achievement). That endgame craft is independent of the level-10 evolution—details belong on dedicated ending or achievement pages once sourced.
